Ingredients and Method


  • 3 to 4 starchy baking potatoes such as Russet, about 700 g
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil
  • Salt (to taste)


  1. Scrub potatoes well and peel (if preferred); cut into equal-sized planks, no more than 1 cm thick. Soak potatoes in a bowl of cold water for 15 minutes. Drain well and pat dry using clean kitchen towels.
  2. Spread fries evenly in the ActiFry pan. Drizzle with oil.
  3. Cook for 30 to 40 minutes or until fries are golden, crisp and cooked through. [For Genius models, use Mode 1.]
  4. Season with salt (to taste).
