Pot Roast Cider Chicken

  • 1 tbsp Sunflower oil
  • 1.5 kg Whole fresh chicken
  • 100g Leeks, cut into 1.5 cm chunks
  • 85g Cup mushrooms, quartered
  • 100g Smoked bacon lardons
  • 2 Garlic cloves
  • 15g Butter
  • 250ml Cider
  • 1 tbsp Chopped flat leaf parsley
  • 2 tbsp Creme fraiche


  • Set cooking pressure high

  • Brush oil all over chicken. Brown chicken all over. Remove chicken. Add butter. Brown leeks, mushrooom, bacon and garlic.
  • Place chicken on top of vegetables and bacon. Add cider.
  • Season juices and thicken with cornflour. STIR IN CREME FRAICHE AND SERVE!
