Ingredients and Method
Ingredients
- 150 g warm water
- 1 sachet dry baker's yeast
- 0.5 tsp caster sugar
- 0.5 tsp salt
- 250 g wheat flour
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 150 g Greek feta cheese
- 1 tbsp dried oregano
Method
- In a small recipient, mix the warm water, sugar and baker's yeast. Make sure the water is not too hot, otherwise the yeast may be deactivated.
- Mix the flour and salt in a large recipient. Add the yeast mixture and olive oil. Knead until the dough is smooth and elastic, about 5 to 10 minutes.
- Cover the dough with a clean cloth and leave to rise in a warm place for 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
- Divide the dough into six equal sized pieces.
- Lightly flour your work surface. Using a rolling pin, lightly roll out the dough into a small round bread. Sprinkle each round with crumbled feta and oregano. Close each bread tightly and spread it out again with the rolling pin.
- Place the breads on the Easy Fry plate, leaving a space between each one so that they don't stick together during cooking. Brush the breads with oil. Start cooking. (12 min / 180 C)
- Depending on your appliance, you may need to bake the breads in batches if there is not enough space. After 12 minutes, check that the breads are cooked through. They should be golden brown.
- Remove the breads and leave to cool on a wire rack before serving.
