Ingredients and Method
Ingredients
- 1 medium apple, peeled, cored, and diced into small cubes
- 2 tbsp brown sugar
- ½ tsp cinnamon
- 2 tbsp flour
- 1 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 tbsp butter, softened
- 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
- 1 egg (for egg wash, optional)
Method
- Prepare the Apple Filling:In a bowl, toss the diced apples with brown sugar and cinnamon. Set aside.
- Make the Crumble Topping:In a separate bowl, mix flour, brown sugar, and softened butter until it forms a crumbly texture
- Assemble the Apple Crumble Bites:Roll out the puff pastry and cut it into small squares (about 2 inches each). Place a spoonful of the apple filling in the center of each square. Sprinkle a little crumble topping over the apples. Fold the corners of the pastry slightly over the filling to create small bundles. (Optional) Brush with egg wash for a golden finish.
- Air-Fry Until Crispy:Place the bites in the air fryer basket, leaving space between each.Cook at 375°F (190°C) for 10-12 minutes using the Crispy Finish function.
- Serve:Let the bites cool slightly before serving. Enjoy as-is or with a dusting of powdered sugar!
