  • 1 pkg (7 g) gelatin powder or 2 1/4 tsp (11 ml)
  • • 1 3/4 cup (425 ml) 35% whipping cream
  • • 1/3 cup (75 ml) granulated sugar
  • • 1 vanilla bean, split and scraped


Soften gelatin in 1/4 cup (50 ml) cold water for a few minutes.

Meanwhile place the cream, sugar, vanilla bean seeds and pod into the pot. Close lid.

Select BAKE mode, set time for 15 minutes and temperature for 100°C. Press START.

Open lid and stir occasionally to dissolve sugar and bring to a boil. Press CANCEL.

Remove the vanilla bean pod.

Stir 1/4 cup (50 ml) hot cream mixture into the gelatin to dissolve. Whisk the gelatin mixture into the remaining cream.

Transfer to 4 serving cups. Place in the refrigerator and chill for at least 1 hour or until set.
