How do I know if my Maxi Fry deep fryer is subject to this recall?
If you have recently purchased a Maxi Fry deep fryer, it may not be subject to this recall. Here's how you can tell:
1) Date of Manufacture: is listed on a gray label on the base of the fryer, indicated by "FAB" followed by a four numbers. Any fryer produced week 19 of 2005 or afterwards is not subject to the recall. For example FAB1905, FAB2005, FAB2105... are not subject to this recall.
OR
2) Quality control stickers: The Maxi Fry deep fryer is not subject to recall if it has any of the below quality control stickers:
* a "QC" label attached to the packaging
* a blue dot affixed to the base of the fryer
* an orange dot affixed to the master carton
