Glue
Remove the excess applying an ice cube, until the glue becomes hard and brittle. Gently scrape off with a knife. Clean with warm water + soap.
For difficult stains, dab with a solvent recommended by the manufacturer.


Ink
Ink stains are very specific and are often eliminated with dilute acids but this technique is not recommended: manipulation of dangerous acid products. The best solution in this case is dry-cleaning.

For certain pen and carbon paper stains, dab with an appropriate solvent then rinse thoroughly:
- On white or colourfast cotton, 90º alcohol or Trichloroethylene. Water with Chlorine bleach can also be used.
- On other colour cotton fabrics, a mixture of equal parts of alcohol or white vinegar and water is also very effective, rinse.
- On synthetic and artificial fabrics, it is preferable to dab the stain as soon as possible with lemon juice and then rinse. In case of persistent stain, it is recommended to start the treatment again.
- On wool and silk, it is preferable to apply a rag soaked in a mixture of 1/3 alcohol and 2/3 cold water, rinse.


Paint
Place the article to be cleaned on a clean white rag and dab the stain with another white rag soaked in white spirit (first try on a hidden part). Then wash normally.


Pen or felt-tip
In most instances, simply erasing pencil marks will work. If not, work detergent into the stain and rinse with cold water. If the stain still persists, place a few drops of ammonia on it, reapply detergent and rinse thoroughly.


White out
Allow to dry, brush and wash with soap and water. If the stain remains treat like an ink stain.
